1998
The story of Providența began in 1998 with the blessing of His Beatitude Father Daniel, the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, who was then the Metropolitan of Moldavia and Bukovina.
2000
The polyclinic was inaugurated under the name “Diagnostic and Treatment Center” in October 2000, in the presence of His Beatitude Patriarch Teoctist of Romania, His Holiness Bartholomew I of Constantinople, His Eminence Daniel of Moldavia and Bukovina, and other Romanian hierarchs.
2008
In 2008, Providența Hospital, the first hospital under the Church’s auspices opened its doors, with a structure approved by the Ministry of Health.
2009
The expansion of the hospital’s in-house medical testing laboratory.
2010
The first surgical procedures in the General Surgery and Ophthalmology Departments of the Hospital.
2012
The relocation of the Providența Polyclinic to a new facility, blessed by His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of Romania, on October 13, 2012.
2014
The establishment and equipping of the Radiology and Medical Imaging Department within the Polyclinic.
2016
The establishment within the Polyclinic of the Allergy Center and the Early Diagnosis Center for Cow’s Milk Protein Allergy.
2017
The acquisition of the first 3D mammograph in the Moldavia region by Providența Hospital.
2018
The opening of the Breast Disease Examination and Diagnosis Center at Providența Hospital.
2019
The first breast biopsies performed at Providența Hospital.
Now
Providența today means a Hospital, a Polyclinic, and a Foundation — all created out of love for people.

- Over 1.000 surgical procedures performed annually at Providența Hospital.
- In-house analysis laboratory performing over 170 types of tests.
Polyclinic
- The increase over 25 years in the number of doctors from 17 to the current 47 within Providența Polyclinic.
- Over the years, Providența Polyclinic has consistently carried out humanitarian campaigns, through which thousands of patients have received free medical services.
- In 2020, the Polyclinic is expanding over an area of 1,000 square meters, which will include 9 additional consultation rooms, an advanced gastroenterology center, and another for minor surgery.
